Robinsons Galleria Cebu Nears Completion

Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) expects to complete the business process outsourcing (BPO) office space on top of Robinsons Galleria Cebu and offer it for occupancy this quarter of the year.

Frederick D. Go, RLC president and COO, noted that a mall-based office provides BPO companies has unique benefits aside from the convenience of having  direct access to retail, services and dining options within the development.

“With the heavy foot-traffic in the mall, BPO companies are given an ideal recruitment venue,” said Go adding that “we can even provide them with recruitment space inside the mall where potential employees can just walk in to apply for jobs.” Tenants will also have signage options on the building’s façade.

Robinsons Galleria Cebu is RLC’s biggest mall outside Metro Manila and its third largest nationwide. Part of the complex will include a hotel and residential towers to complement the mall and BPO office space.

Designed with outsourcing and offshoring companies in mind, the PEZA-registered Robinsons Galleria Cebu’s two-level office space features a dedicated lobby for the office tenants and large floor plates of about 4,000 square meters and 4,800 square meters for a total of 8,800 sqm of prime leasable space.

“Robinsons Galleria Cebu also offers scalability as it has expansion opportunities within the project’s location should tenants need additional space for expansion in the future,” Go said.

For added convenience to employees of its tenants, RLC has provided three elevators to serve the two office floors, consistent with the developer’s intent to have a high elevator-to-floor ratio for its office developments to make them more efficient for tenants since their employees will not spend a lot of time waiting to get from one floor to another.

“The office space can operate even after mall hours since it has its own support systems such as lobby, elevators and air-conditioning system support,” said Go.

In addition to the mall’s roving security guards and other safety features, the Robinsons Galleria Cebu office will also have its own 24/7 security personnel supported by a CCTV surveillance system.

The offices will also have 100 percent back-up power, variable refrigerant flow air conditioning system, fire sprinklers and smoke detectors and multiple telecom service providers.
